Energy, the environment and sustainable development: these three complementary themes are at the heart of the research and teaching activities of the Department of Energy. The expertise of its teams lies in the areas of fluid mechanics, electrical systems, mass transfer and heat transfer.
Researchers are especially interested in characterising physical phenomena, particularly by designing dedicated instrumentation devices. Their work also focuses on improving the behavioural analytical model, heat transfer and mass transfer, fluid mechanics and electromagnetism.
Conversion systems for turbomachines and electrical machines, as well as architecture and control systems, also fall within their areas of expertise.
