Paris campus

campus paris

Located in the 13th arrondissement, the Paris Arts et Métiers campus offers a wide range of training programmes that are adapted to the innovation expectations of the industrial sectors. The expertise of the final year of the General Engineering curriculum is one of the themes of excellence of the institution’s themes of excellence: mechanics, materials and processes; fluids and energy systems; health, design and industrialisation processes. In response to the needs of businesses, the campus offers 6 Mastères Spécialisés® and develops customized training courses.

Strong international connections

This diversity in the offering of programmes builds on the strengths of the campus, which is supported by four research laboratories: the PIMM (Laboratoire Conception de Produits et Innovation), the Institut de Biomécanique Humaine Georges Charpak, DynFluid (Fluid Dynamics Laboratory) and the LCPI (Laboratoire Conception de Produits et Innovation).

The Paris campus has established close relations with its international partners, in particular through student exchanges: engineering students can undertake their end-of-course projects abroad, while the students of partner institutions have the opportunity of validating ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits by doing part of their training at Arts et Métiers. This international orientation is also expressed through several double degrees that are offered to engineering students:

  • Argentina: National University of Córdoba; National University of Cuyo; National University of the Littoral, UNL
  • Brazil: São Carlos School of Engineering; University of Sao Paulo, Polytechnic School; Federal University of Pernambuco; Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ; Federal University of Espirito Santo, UFES
  • Colombia: EAFIT; School of Engineering of Antioquia, EIA; University del Norte, UniNorte; University El Bosque; Free University of Colombia; National University of Colombia
  • Venezuela: National Experimental University of Táchira, UNET

A message from the Director

Frédéric Geoffroy took up his post at the campus on 21 August. In a context of new Arts et Métiers strategic dynamics, Frédéric Geoffroy insists on change management, the importance of collective work and internal communication between the different players. The life of the Paris campus and its social issues will be his priorities. The teaching, the development of international relations and partnerships, entrepreneurship, real estate projects… will also be important projects for the Paris campus. "The development of the campus should continue to focus on a management model based on three priorities of knowledge (scientific and academic fields), competence (industrialisation), and service (development of the economic ecosystem).
