Arts et Métiers lance un programme d’ingénieurs de spécialité avec l’ISTP

Starting in autumn 2023, Arts et Métiers will offer a specialised Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering programme in partnership with ISTP.

The two institutions also share the desire leverage training and research to helping companies upskill their teams. This partnership with ISTP therefore fully aligns with Arts et Métiers’ strategic focuses and its operational objectives to train more young people and better support industry.” 

 

SUPPORT FROM THE REGION

Arts et Métiers’ recently established presence in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region also reflects its desire to play an active role in regional planning policies in the areas of training, employment and innovation. The partnership between ISTP and Arts et Métiers was encouraged by the president of the region and has been widely praised by   socio-economic stakeholders.

 

A PROGRAMME ACCREDITED BY THE CTI

Since the partnership was signed in April 2022, educational teams at both institutions have been working on setting up the specialised  Mechanical and Mechatronics block-release engineering programme. It obtained approval from the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs (CTI, the French Engineering Qualifications Board) for accreditation in April 2023.

It aims to train high-level executives that can steer complex projects focused on the design and eco-design of mechanical and mechatronic products and equipment such as robots, exoskeletons, ABS and vehicle trajectory control systems, electronically controlled pumps and automated assembly machines.

 

PAVING THE WAY FOR INDUSTRY 4.0

The Mechanical and Mechatronics specialisation combines knowledge in mechanics, electronics, automation and computer science to design and manufacture complex products and equipment to meet the needs of a wide range of industries such as transportation, health, agri-food and energy, to pave the way for Industry 4.0.

 

TO OPEN IN AUTUMN 2023

The programme is open to individuals who hold a technical degree (BUT, DUT, BTS); general or professional Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field; or a degree equivalent to three years of higher education, and to students who have completed a a scientific or technological preparatory class for the Grande Ecoles (CPGE). Admission is based on an application and interview.

This new programme will open in autumn 2023

Arts et Métiers has also signed a partnership with ESTACA, an engineering school dedicated to the field of transportation and sustainable mobility. This partnership plans to enrol ESTACA students in the Management of Interactive 3D Technologies (MTI3D) Master’s programme at the Arts et Métiers Laval Institute.
